Sangoma VS0139 Information:
The Vega 50 VoIP Gateway connects a range of legacy telephony equipment, including PBX's, ISDN telephones, ISDN, analogue phones and the PSTN to IP networks. The Vega 50 supports up to 10 analogue ports, and either 2 or 4 basic rate ISDN interfaces on (4 or 8 channels) supporting NT and TE modes. This particular model features 8 BRI with Pin Switching and Phantom Power. This ensures that VegaStream connected networks, within multinational site locations can be supported with confidence.
Each BRI Interface is independently configurable as either Network (NT) or Terminal Side (TE) and allows the Vega 50 to be connected to both a PBX and the ISDN simultaneously. This eliminates disruption to the configuration of existing equipment and increases the flexibility and choices available for call routing.
The Vega 50 is configurable for different country requirements including tones and line impedance, 600R, 900R or CTR-21 making it easy to deploy for a wide variety of applications.
The Basic Rate Interface (BRI) Vega 50 VoIP Gateways support ETSI BRI while the analogue variants support standard Loop Start signaling resulting in significant levels of interoperability with a wide range of existing telecommunication systems.
VegaStream VoIP Gateways also support SIP, H.323 and T.38 Fax and this extends that interoperability to a broad mix of VoIP equipment.
The Vega 50 VoIP Gateway, when equipped with FXS ports are also fitted with two FXO ports. When powered, the Vega 50 will route calls to or from these two FXO ports. Under power failure conditions, the two FXO ports provide a hard-wired bypass feature to the two FXS ports. This allows PSTN calls still to be made, giving resilience and confidence of business continuity, even under power failure conditions.
